Golden State Champions

Steph Curry With The Shot!

Stephen Curry & Andre Iguodala

A much deserved win for the Golden State Warrior on Tuesday night. The first championship in 40 years, after going down 2-1 in the series, the warriors came back to win 3 straight games over the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was an unexpected lost for the Cavaliers, being that Lebron James proclaimed the title as "The best player in the world" during a recent press conference.

Andre Iguodala was announced as the MVP of the series. Although many were expecting point guard Stephen Curry to receive the title, there were also debates about if Lebron should have still gotten the MVP title. Iguodala outscored the Cavs by 62 points during the series, so he's well deserving of the MVP title, even if Steph Curry got the shot.

Score 105-97
Congratulations Warriors!

Jurassic World

In Theaters Now

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly.

Review
This is the a great family movie to intensify the summer is what you'll feel when watching Jurassic World. The movie continues the 1993 Jurassic Park story line with a whole new breed of dinosaurs.Throughout the movie you'll learn about the main characters and their backgrounds. However story line is centered around the dinosaurs, expressing how humans have taken advantage of recreating this extinct species. Using the species for their own beneficial purpose without regard to the animals life and existence.

Director: Colin Trevorrow
Writers: Rick Jaffa (screenplay), Amanda Silver (screenplay),
Stars: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins

2015 XXL Freshmen Revealed

Class of 2015

Fetty Wap
Dej Loaf
Raury
Kidd Kidd
OG Maco
Shy Glizzy
Goldlink
K Camp
Vince Staples
Tink
For those of you who don't know, the annual XXL Freshmen covers are the newest Indy artist that everyone is predicting to be the next major artist. Generally these are the artist who has stood out during this season, and are expected to make a major move inside of the hip hop industry. They're a few unexpected faces on the cover, and also fans like myself, were wondering why any of the OVO crew on the cover weren’t. Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Satten answers in a Breakfast club interview how Partynextdoor & iloveMakonnen lacked interest in being on the cover and how some of the artist got on the cover. Could they be following in the footsteps of Label owner Drake? Who was not on the freshmen list along with label mate Nicki Minaj. However the XXL Freshmen cover has had major hip hop stars on the cover such as: J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Future, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Macklemore etc...  Following the release of the cover is the freshmen cypher, where each artist issued, has their chance to spit hot bars, ultimately proving why they're on the cover. I’m looking forward to hear Dej Loaf, Tink, OG Maco, and Raury in the cypher. So this is one of most hip hop artist's dreams. Congrats to the artist that made the cover they well deserve.

Stream A$AP Rocky's Album ALLA

At.Long.Last.A$AP

Well isn't this a surprise, A$AP Rocky decided to release his sophomore album Monday night. If anyone else was wondering where TF A$AP has been, now we know, making a good ass album. I'm sure my readers by now can tell that I'm a picky music listener. I only enjoy good music that has noticeable work and effort inside of the music. A$AP long story short you delivered. I've only listened to the album once so after a few more times I'm sure I'll update this post, but as for now ALLA is dopeness! The collaborations with Joe Fox give ALLA a nice in sync sound. ALLA also features the artist: Miguel, Lil Wayne, Future, Schoolboy Q, M.I.A., and more. Yes, the album has a lot of features, but all of the features are needed to build this sound. A$AP also delivers of course with his flow and content on the album. The Holy Ghost intro is so far my favorite off of ALLA, setting the tone for the album. A$AP has yet to disappoint his true audience with his music. 5/5 A$AP keep hustlin!

King Gucci Review

Mr. Ice Cream Man

Unexpected new music from Guwop is the talk of the internet. Although Guwop is currently incarcerated he still has remained somewhat relevant in the music streetz. Honestly I am not a fan of Gucci's music, and never was, but Guwop has my respect. Back in 2006 I never expected this Atlanta movement that Brick Squad took over with to last over 3 years, and the movement definitely has made a legendary place in hip-hop. With the guidance of Deb (Waka Flocka mom), Brick Squad dominated Atlanta, making the Atlanta turn up "sound" a type of culture, whether you like it or not, this is true. As for the new mixtape King Gucci, I think it's a good tape for Guwop. King Gucci has all of the right features such as: migos, fetty wap, pee wee long way, Riff Raff etc... Those are good features because those artists are relevant to the ATL sound lane with the exception of Young Thug. I also like how he used more producers making the beats and overall sound slightly different oppose to the other mixtapes. Once again this is not my preferred style of music but I can hear others who enjoy the style liking this mixtape. DJ Scream & DJ Drama was the perfect choice for the DJ's also.  Good Job Guwop!
