When I first started this post I was going to put the Top 10 Kanye Rants, and maybe I will one day, but not today. I planned to say that we was waiting for Kanye to say something crazy in 2012 before the year ended because it's Kanye, but after watching the video I changed my mind. Yes, once again Kanye is going off about something and many of you are like, "what now Kanye?" However actually I agree with what he is saying. In this video Kanye goes off about the credit he's given, the Grammys, and the lies we're being told. He repeatedly say "It won't be long now," and ends the video saying that he will not attend the Grammys this year, because hip-hop albums only receive Grammys in the category of Hip-Hop and that's because most of the time they're only nominated in those categories, which is true. What could Kanye be talking about when he uses the phrase "it won't be long now," could this be the ongoing debate about the conspiracy in the government? Maybe or Maybe not, but I do know that I agree with every word and subject that Kanye is talking about in this video, which is why I decided to congratulate Kanye instead of bashing him. 1. Swimming Pools

Pour Up...Drink! Once you hear those first two words, you already know the next part. The second this song hit the internet it was a huge success. This single definitely deserves to be number 1 on the list because you really can never get sick of the song. Kendrick Lamar really has out done himself this year.

2. I Don't Like

Chief Keef really out did himself with this song, well at least Young Chop did with the beat. This was a must like, must play, and must have song everywhere. This hit song got blew up on YouTube and caught the attention of a hip hop favorite, Kanye West. Although Chief Keef recently released album Finally Rich flopped and he has been in a lot of controversy this year, "I Don't Like" was a major success.

3. Thinkin About You

I bet that you're still singing this song? Frank Ocean took over in 2012 with this single. With 6 Grammy nominations and his album Channel Orange going gold, Frank Ocean demanded attention this year. Behind all of the controversy regarding his open letter, Frank Ocean still managed to come out on top.

4. Turn On The Lights

Future poured his heart out in this song, and we definitely can hear it. Future deserves every piece of credit this year, finally receiving some recognition for his work. "Turn On The Lights" brought Future to the next step in his career by getting him a feature on Rihanna's album Unapologetic.

 

5. Mercy

The G.O.O.D Music Crew dominated the summer with "Mercy." Although Cruel Summer wasn't what most of us expected it to be, "Mercy" exceeded beyond every expectation. "Mercy" was that song that you thought you got sick of, but when you hear it playing you can't help but to sing it. 

 

6. No Lie

Drake on any hook is a great combination, but this year Drizzy really out did himself. Being on a song with one of 2012 winners, "No Lie" was bound to be a major success.

7. Bandz A Make Her Dance

Juicy J really out did himself with this hit single. With perfect beat produced by Mike Will and the simple catchy lyrics to match, Juicy J bandz made everyone dance. "Bandz A Make Her Dance" was the perfect song for every party.

8. Birthday Song

Along with "No Lie" 2 Chainz released another hit single off of his album Based On A T.R.U Story, "Birthday Song" which features Kanye West on the song. I guess they are like Snoop and Dre because we just can't get enough of the two of them together. After this song everyone wanted it to be their Birthday.

9. Beez In Da Trap

Yes, 2 Chainz is back but this time he is featuring on Nicki Minaj's song "Beez In Da Trap." Debuted at number 1 on billboard "Beez In Da Trap" reminded us that Nicki is a rapper since she has turned pop lately.

10. Work Hard Play Hard

Last but not least Wiz Khalifa "Work Hard Play Hard." Who can forget this catchy beat and chorus? This song helped make Wiz the Rock Star he is!

Battling and Beefs are common for the hip-hop industry, and you can either gain or lose from the situation depending on who you are and what happened. I was going to do 2012 beefs but personally I felt like that most of them were wack. The most anticipated beefs had wack diss tracks and the other beefs were just flat out stupid. Surprisingly to me one of the hottest diss tracks this year came from the least expected, Diggy Simmons. This made me wonder like really what happened? Has Hip-Hop gotten soft? Since when do we have beefs like Drake VS Chris Brown? Yeah I know some of you are saying what about people like Rick Ross VS Jeezy or The Game VS anything? Well since Rick Ross beefs are over the same stuff since when he first came out, its now irrelevant. The Game just wanted attention for his album and Shyne just wanted attention also. There's nothing wrong with wanting some hype before an album drops, hey 50 Cent always does it, but the diss tracks and the childis twitter stuff was just stupid. Probably the best beef this year was Jeezy VS Gucci and the most hyped one was Meek VS Cass (see other post). Well here are some of the good beefs (to me). No this is not the whole list because I'm still adding, but here is a taste of it, and feel free to let me know who I should add because I probably forgot about them.

1. Nas VS Jay-Z

This was an historic hip-hop moment in beef history, when these two rappers started. How is this bigger than Pac VS Biggie? Well simply because the diss songs were better and represented true head to head beef. Ether was absolutely flawless as a diss song proving that Nas still was a major hip-hop contender after the  release of Nastradamus, which was a flop. Yes, Nas has a flop album for all you Nas heads. Ether responded to Hova's diss track "Takeover" and "Super Ugly." This is a constant battle of who is better still to this day and this debate will probably never end, just like the Pac VS Biggie debate.The hardcore flawless diss tracks is what made this beef number 1 on the list. Although I still have no clue as of why the beef started, personally I think it was for publicity.

2. Tupac VS Biggie

There really is no explanation needed as for why this is on the list. Pac VS Biggie will be an ongoing argument probably forever. Although "Who Shot Ya" was never said to be directly towards Pac, he definitely took it in that way. Leading to this historic beef and Tupac's direct response to Biggie with "Hit 'Em Up," and of course Biggie retaliated with a couple of bars here and there to Pac because of the song. Unfortunately this led to their deaths, but this was real beef. The beef started because supposedly Biggie set up Pac to get shot, but I personally don't think that was the case.

3. Common VS Whitehouse

Common is probably one of the most peaceful rappers out there, so how does he have beef? Well number three was a debate between Common VS The White House or Common VS The West Coast. I chose Common VS The Whitehouse because this was absolutely ridiculous. Eazy-E was invited to The Whitehouse, but they have a fit when Common is invited? Yes, Common did read a controversial poem that was misinterpreted (maybe). However don't take Common peacefulness as a weakness, because he can and will murder people with bars. Ice Cube figured that out in the Common VS West Coast.

4. Curtis VS Graduation 

Although this was not a beef, this was probably the best battle for album sales of all time. The Graduation VS Curtis made the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and got all the fans hyped up. 50 Cent stated that if Kanye beat him in albums sales that he would retire and well that was a lie, because Kanye definitely won by a landslide with the Graduation. Of course 50 cent didn't retire and Kanye continued to make classic albums, while 50 did business deals, but as for good albums yeah that's over.   

5. Lil Mama VS The Stage

Now although this is not two particular people, this was definitely historic. First of all she disrespected the performance on so many levels, but when someone taps you to get off the stage, now you definitely should exit the stage. This unforgettable interruption single handley ended Lil Mama's career. Although she did make the attempt to get some hype by being on America's Best Dance Crew as a judge and taking shots at Nicki Minaj, but they all failed. Lil Mama has faded because of herself SMH, and I guess this is a lesson learned for all of us. Only certain people can interrupt performances and speeches.

  

Of course I'm missing good beefs like Lil Flip VS T.I., Cam'ron VS Dipset, The Source VS Eminem, DMX VS Jay-Z, and Ja Rule VS 50, but I haven't forgot about them I simply just didn't feel like writing about them. Besides 50 Cent has way too many beefs anyway and sense Ja Rule is the epitome of failure in a beef I found no reason to mention him. Basically these were good beefs but they wasn't hip-hop historic in my opinion. Of course I could've put East VS West Coast, but I thought that was pretty self explanatory. Dr. Dre being on the list is debatable, but I decided to leave him off since all of his contenders are dead. As for the Lil Mama VS The Stage I just thought I would give an example on how a person can end their own career without the help of others, and before her career really got to start. The point of this post was to simply remind everyone what actual beef is and how diss songs are suppose to be, not that BULL that happened this year. Lets not ever have a beef year like 2012 hip-hop ever again!  

Meek Mill VS Cassidy (Disappointment)

After all the hype between Meek Mill and Cassidy, we finally got what we all wanted. After Cassidy constant mentions about Meek and his the release of his first diss to Meek Mill "Diary Of A Hustler," Cassidy released another diss towards the Philly rapper titled "Me Myself & IPhone" after the exchange of tweets between the two rappers. We was all wondering if Meek would respond after the two disses, twitter argument, and the release of Cassidy's new song "Condom Style." Well he finally does with Repo. I have to say that this is by far the biggest disappointment that hip-hop has had since this year's Pusha-T VS Lil Wayne. These are two hard core raw MCs and this is apparently the best that they can come up with. SMH! Cassidy is one reason that I use to love watching freestyles and "Diary Of A Hustler" was absolute trash. Although Meek's diss was better in my eyes I think that he could've done a much better job, but hey check them out for your self and check out Cassidy's new song "Condom Style."

With the new Quentin Tarantino movie Django Unchained releasing on Christmas Day, I wasn't sure on how it would do. DJango was a hit selling out almost everywhere, and although I have yet to seen the movie, I am anxious to see DJango Unchained. Tarantino is known for his great action controversial movies, but there's nothing like DJango. Starring Oscar winning Actor, Jamie Foxx as DJango the controversial movie has brought amazing hype and Tarantino himself said that everyone should see DJango Unchained. The soundtrack features all type of genres including Rick Ross's "100 Black Coffins," which Foxx said was directly made for the movie. The song is also a part of Ross's Grammy Nominated album God Forgives, I Don't. Yes, this is another major move for Ricky Rozay. If the movie is as good as everyone has said I will make sure that I will let you know, but for now check out a few of the songs featured on the soundtrack, including "100 Black Coffins"!

Although Jewelry is not that heart felt we happen to LOVE it so you can't go wrong. Unless that girl was expecting a proposal and you happen to get her a necklace or something and if that's the case, yeah you messed up. When buying jewelry keep  in mind that diamonds are not the only gem out there but make sure you don't get her anything that's too cheap because it will turn brown and that's never good.

Underwear

Yes we all could use more underwear and I know some of you guys think that sexy underwear is a perfect Christmas gift, but it's not. They're certain holidays and maybe even her birthday where underwear maybe a decent gift, but not for Christmas. Christmas is suppose to be thoughtful and sexy underwear is nothing but thoughtless. You're thinking of yourself when you buy underwear for her, so it's probably not a good idea to get them. However if the underwear is a side or the second gift than nothing is wrong with that.

Pajamas

What are you? Her grandma? Come on pajamas are that gift you just pick up because you're sick of buying actual gifts and trust me, we know this. So just don't buy this leave that gift for Grams.

Clothes

Clothes are a toss up, because if you're like most guys, you have no idea what to buy and although we girls love clothes and shoes we definitely will not wear something that we don't like. Unless you do know what your girl likes, I suggest that you ask one of her friends just to be on the safe side. So yes, clothes is an okay gift depending on how serious the relationship is or not.

Electronics

When it comes to buying gifts it's always best to get something that you know will mean something to the person. If they are a music lover a nice pair of beats headphones is nice, speakers, a computer, or maybe a CD that you know that they would love.

Perfume

 

A nice smelling fragrance is really a great gift for a woman, especially if the relationship is in the middle. Perfume lets the girl know that you seriously like her and it reminds you that its not extreme.

Stuff animals will always have a soft spot in a woman's heart

If you want to keep it simple girls love to be taken out, so a nice dinner with flowers will melt us and always put us in a great mood.

Are you under the belief that vaccines are actually disease/virus fighting, or they that they work to increase immunization to such sicknesses ? Well recently vaccines have been labeled a manufactured hoax and " population control " or depopulation, which ever you prefer, there's no difference. But that's what health workers do when they inject you with vaccines.

There is no safe dose of mercury! Doctors and vaccine pushers LIE to you and say there is no mercury in vaccines. Even the CDC readily admits vaccine still contain mercury (thimerosal).

These are components in the standard makeup of vaccines not to mention numerous chemicals I haven't never mentioned. Sadly uneducated on the topic of vaccines or even health for that matter, parents are still told vaccines benefit the immune system and impact the body beneficially. Shaking my mother freakin head.

Make sure you tell your doctor that, chances are they're institutionalized to believe that they protect you, when the proof is the opposite has occurred. Most United States citizens would opt out of getting vaccines if they understood that natural foods, vitamins, herbs and supplements build up the immune system enough to fight off almost any disease known to mankind.

Many of you were starting to wonder, "when are we going to hear something different?" Well here I was checking out livemixtapes.com just looking through in search of something new and different, and stumble upon a NEW ATL Artist by the name of Young $crilla. I know what am I doing listening to ATL artist lol, because I am usually not interested in Atlanta artist unless I am about to go to a party. However since this EP was on the indy livemixtapes.com and knowing that usually those mixtapes are pretty good, I decided to take a listen. My verdict is that the EP is pretty good, having good beats, a different flow, and solid lyrics we are sure to see more from this Upcoming MC. Now Check Out the EP for yourself and tell me what you think!

Freshman Problems

Old school Drake.

To me, Drake is/will be one of the greatest rap artists of all time. We've already established that there's as much proof of a bad Drake verse as there is of dinosaurs. However, another thing that makes him so great is the fact that he has maintained his skills over a lengthy period of time. I've been listening to Drake since "Room for Improvement" and I must say, although I liked him more back then, that he still has it. Despite what I thought at first, he didn't turn into hot garbage upon getting signed. I commend that. Drake still has those bars that he had back in his "Comeback Season" days. 

Drake - "One More Time"

"I used to cut the porch lights on/ but now I cut the Porsche lights on/ just to lettem know their foresight's wrong." My favorite part of the song (besides the last verse). You can hear Jay-Z's influence all over this track (If you're a true fan). Nonetheless, Drake still made a dope song. One of my favorites. Enjoy.

Another one of Drake's dope songs from earlier in his rap career is "Come Winter". Bruh had some decent storytelling abilities too. He had it all. He has it all. Rock with it.

"SHAKE UP THE WORLD. THAT IS WHAT I AM 'BOUT TO DO." I instantly start vibing when I hear those words. This is probably my personal favorite song from him. One of my favorite intros, too. Drake had the bars.

This post is called winners of 2012 because these are the people who shined in 2012. These people careers went to the next level because they had a successful year due to album sales, publicity, heroic behavior etc... Check it OUT!!

 

1. Frank Ocean

 

Talk about a big year, well Frank Ocean definitely has had one in 2012. Frank Ocean made an shocking announcement with a letter, that he was bi-sexual one week before the debut of his album Channel Orange. Unsure of how the public would react to this Frank's news flooded Twitter and the rest of the media, but of course his album sold out the next week. Strategy? I have no idea, but if it was a strategy it definitely worked. Leading with the hit single "Thinkin Bout You," Channel Orange was a huge success. Frank Ocean is the biggest winner of 2012 with 6 Grammy nominations and a gold album with Channel Orange. Yes I said 6 Grammy nominations.

2. Janelle Monae

I don't know about the charts, but from the looks of it, Janelle Monae has had a huge year. Having her own commercial with Target, featuring on the hit song "We Are Young," and being nominated for a Grammy made Janelle Monae a huge winner in 2012. She's adorable and people just can't get enough of her which is why she is number 2 on this list. You see Janelle Monae's face everywhere you look nowadays. You Go Girl!

3. Kendrick Lamar

 

Yes, KDot has made it on yet another list. Kendrick had a huge year in 2012 having his second album, Good Kid M.a.a.d City reach a certified gold and featuring on a lot of songs. KDot name is officially out there so there is no need to "put someone on" to Kendrick because I'm sure that after this year everyone knows who Kendrick Lamar is. Kendrick managed to also cross-over this year and is rumored to have a song with pop sensation Lady Gaga. Oh Yeah that's big! I wonder what Kendrick has in store for us in 2013.

4. Rick Ross

 

Rick Ross? I know, apparently God Forgives, I Don't was a flop in some people's eyes, so why is he on here. Well Ross's album wasn't a flop in everyone eyes because the album got him his first nominations for a Grammy. The album God Forgives, I Don't has the song 100 black coffins which also features on the new highly anticipated Quentin Tarrentino movie DJango. The album may be a flop to some, but he has won in my book. Lets hope we see Ross win his first Grammy. Don't worry about them GDs Ross keep doing you.

5. 2 Chainz

Of course 2 Chainz is on the list. 2 Chainz has had a huge year with a gold selling album Based On a T.R.U Story and his own commercial, I'm wondering what's next? Having features on over 10 other songs this year and a hit single "Birthday Suit" he is definitely a winner in 2012. Signing to G.O.O.D Music his audience didn't know what to expect, was he going to sound like the same 2 Chainz? They were worried but yes, he sounded like 2 Chainz with better production being along side with Kanye. 2 Chainz became a favorite among people this year and has more to come in 2013.

6. Future

No Future doesn't have a gold album, any Grammy nominations, or commercials but he definitely won this year. Recently Future spoke on collaborating with Kanye West and Drake for an Upcoming single Future Kendrix, bringing him to the next level of stardom. How is Future on here? With the hit single "Turn Down The Lights," Future elevated his game and audience that got him a feature with pop star Rihanna. On Rihanna's recent album Unapologetic Future added his ATL style and vocals on the song "Love Song" making him reach a whole new audience. I wonder if Future is ready for 2013 because we're expecting a lot from him.

7. 50 Cent

 

I know how and why is 50 Cent up here? Well 50 has had a huge year too, but not with music. Of course 50 brought in over a million simply with vitamin water, but that's not what I am talking about. In 2012 50 had a big year oversees helping children in Africa with Street Kings charity organization, and 50 told Oprah all about the charity. Wait did you say Oprah!?!? Yes, I said Oprah. Oprah and 50 finally set down and worked out their "differences." This is huge for 50, because once you sit down with Oprah yeah you've made it. With all the money 50 is making music is probably last on his list, although he does have an album that's supposedly coming out in 2013.

I picked this week Throwback Thursday to be Juelz Santana, not because he has something about to drop but simply because I liked this Freestyle. Santana (former dipset member) always had witty, clever, and playful hot bars when it came to rapping. Since we haven't heard from Santana since 2008 when he dropped The Takeover with Skull Gang, I thought it would be nice to finally see something from the MC, even if it's old. Yes our DNA is set to change, when we change our DNA the society will change with it. The government is currently trying to adapt and prevent information from freeing you from your mental slavery. My advice to you is to become aware, keep peace, relieve stress, and gain beneficial morals. FACT -those who are still attached to the limit of information of a religion live under fatalism. Fatalism : the acceptance of all things and events as inevitable; submission to fate: Her fatalism helped her to face death with stoic calm. If a person lives in negativity ( aka duality component ) they are participating in the negative aspect of religion and subject to judgment and consequence of God ( hell ). One that does no such. Tweeting to his fans, Cudi released the news that Indicud will drop in March of 2013.



He has not released a solo studio album since Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager back in 2010, but he was part of the G.O.O.D. Music collaborative Cruel Summer, and his own collabo project with Dot da Genius on WZRD.   

Apparently “King Wizard” will not live on the LP as he said in his tweet it was just an extra treat for fans “Phase 2 of my domination has begun.  King Wizard is not the official second single, just a Scooby snack.  Indicud in March.”  This comes after dropping the lead single “Just What I Am” back in the summer.

This is good news to all you Cudi fans and that's including myself. Cudi shocked hip-hop with his unique free sound and has had a solid fan base ever since. With his first single Day N Night being a major hit I knew to expect nothing but great from Cudi. So here he is again, you go Cudi!!!
